How fortunate we are as an assembly that all our councils came together to support our new program “The Richard H. Bejune Memorial Fund”. This program was developed in order to award a deserving young man $500.00 to help him make the transition from Rancho San Antonio.

The dinner was successful with ticket sales tallied at $2080.00 plus $75.00 from the 50/50 raffle for a total of $2155.00. After subtracting our expenses the net deposit to the fund will be approximately $1400.00 (exact expense numbers were not available at press time).

This event would not have been successful without the two men that made it possible; chefs David Shepstone and Joe Stockard and the many volunteers who helped setup, serve, and cleanup.

Special recognition must go out to Joe Stockard and David Pepper (members of council 3148) who are not 4th degree Knights yet exemplify the principles of our order unity and fraternity in being willing to support their brother Knights and volunteer for a 4th degree event.

We are pleased that we are now on our way to being able to provide support to the young men at Rancho San Antonio, and to awarding the first check sometime in June of next year.

Mark your calendars, the next Christmas Dinner will be held December 15, 2012 and don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes. Yes, we will have dancing next year.
